These Green Wednesday cannabis deals will leave your pockets thankful
With New Jersey’s second holiday season since recreational weed was legalized kicking off next week, many consumers are thankful about being able to pick up weed from their local store just as easily as they pick up groceries for their Thanksgiving feasts.
Many people will share weed this Turkey Day with friends, going on “cousin walks” and even making infused dishes to put on their menus.
What is Green Wednesday?
The day before Thanksgiving, known as Green Wednesday, has become one of the top days for legal weed sales across the country. This day and Black Friday are the only days that weed sales rival those of the well-known spring weed holiday, 420.
Following trends seen in other legalized states, weed sales are expected to bloom.
According to a national survey of 1,600 people conducted in October 2022 by Suzy, a global market research platform, in coordination with multi-state cannabis operator AYR Wellness, 55% of consumers plan to purchase or consume cannabis on Green Wednesday, and 65% will choose cannabis over alcohol for their “Danksgiving” celebrations.
