Calvin Johnson releases ‘Megachron’ line of pre-rolls ahead of Super Bowl

Just in time for the Super Bowl, Jeeter, the top-selling cannabis pre-roll brand in Michigan, is rolling out a limited-edition product celebrating two football legends, including former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin “Megatron” Johnson Jr.

The Big Game Legacy Packs, set to launch Friday in Michigan and three other states, feature rosin-enhanced diamond pre-rolls designed to honor each player’s career. The other former star is ex-NFL running back Ricky Williams.

The packs come in collectible locker-style packaging and include a custom enamel pin of Williams’s No. 34 and Johnson’s No. 81, along with details from their playing days.

Johnson, a Hall of Famer who spent his entire NFL career with the Lions, co-founded the cannabis company Primitiv, which operates in Michigan and Massachusetts. His Big Game strain, “Primitiv Megachron,” is an indica blend of Northern Lights and Blueberry, and it features berry flavors and has relaxing effects.

The pack comes with five infused pre-rolls.

“Teaming up with Jeeter to bring the Primitiv Megachron to life for the Big Game has been a lot of fun,” Johnson said in a statement. “Cannabis has been an important part of my story, both on and off the field. I’m proud to share this exclusive strain with fans and cannabis enthusiasts. I’m proud to share this exclusive strain with fans and cannabis enthusiasts, and I hope it helps everyone enjoy the game in their own way.”

Williams, a Heisman Trophy winner and former Pro Bowl running back, played 11 seasons in the NFL, including stints with the Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, and Baltimore Ravens. He founded Highsman, a cannabis brand geared toward athletes and wellness. His strain, “Sticky Ricky,” is an indica blend of Blue Mango and GMO Cookies, and it’s described as having a tropical, earthy flavor and a euphoric high.

“I always get excited about this time of year, not only because it’s the Big Game, but because I know Highsman and Jeeter are dropping another locker,” Williams said. “Every year we just build more and more on the collab — last year, we did Miami Dolphins colors. This fourth year of the collaboration with Jeeter is even more special, with the Super Bowl being in New Orleans. Obviously, I played in New Orleans so we were able to add a lot of unique special details to the locker. Also, we added a special nugget inside each box for the fans to check out.”
